Duration : MBA is two year full time post-graduate degree programme

Savitribai Phule Pune University, earlier known as Pune University, is widely regarded as one of the Premier Universities of India. It is situated in the North-Western part of the city, which is often referred to as the ‘Oxford of the East’. It was established on the 10th of February, 1949 under the Poona University Act and has grown over the years to now include over 46 academic departments. Out of the various management programs offered by the University, the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) have an industry-relevant syllabus.

The Institute has an industry-related curriculum as mandated by the University that gives the students a crux of the processes most integral to the IT industry. This would not only help them bridge the Industry-Academia gap, but also preserve the academic autonomy of educational institution

Programme Outcomes (POs): At the end of the MBA programme the
learner will possess

1. Generic and Domain Knowledge -

Ability to articulate, illustrate, analyze, synthesize and apply the knowledge of principles and frameworks of management and allied domains to the solutions of real-world complex business issues.

2. Problem Solving & Innovation -

Ability to Identify, formulate and provide innovative solution frameworks to real world complex business and social problems by systematically applying modern quantitative and qualitative problem solving tools and techniques.

3. Critical Thinking -

Ability to conduct investigation of  multidimensional business problems using research based knowledge and research methods to arrive at data driven  decisions.

4. Effective Communication -

Ability to effectively communicate in cross- cultural settings, in technology mediated environments, especially in the business context and with society at large.

Ability to collaborate in an organizational context and across organizational boundaries and lead themselves and others in the achievement of organizational goals and optimize outcomes for all

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES(PSOs)

Program Specific Outcomes or PSOs are abilities that a MBA Programme professional should have after successful completion of the program.
Following PSOs have been defined as per specialization:

1. Marketing:

1 To develop basic marketing skills among students in order to cater to the needs of marketing in industries.
2 To develop the tools & techniques of Marketing Management and their applications in the business.
3 To develop the ability to make marketing decisions & plan accordingly which are executable marketing strategies.

2. Finance:

1 Students will able to identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk, within the context of corporate finance.
2 Financial Modeling Skills: Students will become proficient in creating and utilizing financial models for decision- making, valuation, and forecasting purposes.
3 Students will get a deep understanding of corporate finance principles, including capital budgeting, cost of capital, and optimal capital structure.

3. Human Resource

1 Students will acquire skill set, combining HR expertise with strategic thinking, ethical decision-making, and effective communication.
2 Students will able to develop Organizational Policies, Processes, and Evaluation Techniques in accordance with contemporary legal framework in accordance with national and global perspective.
3 Graduates will be able to conduct workforce planning, analyze HR metrics, and use data- driven insights for strategic decision-making.

4. Business Analytics

1 Formulate business analytics problems.
2 To understand quantitative and qualitative tools, work on utilizing statistical data, visualization of data to navigate and solve problems in the business environment.
3 Professionally competent to apply data analytical techniques,
4 Imply historical analysis, value-based analysis, variance analysis, trend analysis, correlation, time series, regression, as well as machine and deep learning analysis.

PEO1:

Graduates of the MBA program will successfully integrate core, cross-functional and  inter-disciplinary aspects of management theories, models and frameworks with the real  world  practices and the sector specific nuances to provide solutions to real world business, policy and social issues in a dynamic and complex world.

PEO2:

Graduates of the MBA program will possess excellent communication skills, excel in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams, and have an appreciation for local, domestic and global contexts so asto manage continuity, change, risk, ambiguity and complexity.
