Placement is a crucial part of any business school, because these days number of placements is the USP of the Institute. But in Zeal Education Society we feel ensuring a student gets placed is our moral responsibility, because whenever student gets inducted to the PG course in our Institute he/she comes with a hope that at the end of this course along with mark sheet he/she will have a job in hand, it being the ultimate aim of any student undertaking a professional course.

Our T&P cell constantly works hard to fulfill our students’ expectations. In ZES we have a Central Training & Placement Cell which includes Coordinators from every Department. We work with an objective to motivate our students to develop technical knowledge and soft skills to develop our students according to the company’s requirements.

We at Zeal not only provide employment to our students but also make them employable. We have a separate & dedicated team for upgrading and polishing the soft skills of the students, given the importance of training in today’s competitive world.

Activities of T&P Cell of ZIBACAR

To arrange winter & summer Internship for prefinal year students

To arrange 06 months industrial training for MCA students.

Organise different training programs or workshops related to recent trends in the corporates

Career guidance and counselling sessions to help the students choose a career path wisely in line with their interests and abilities

Organize HR meets from time to time to keep abreast with industry requirements and prep our students accordingly

To organise industrial visits to give insights of the industry to the students

To arrange campus interviews

The Objective of the placement cell is to facilitate the process of placement and ensure that each eligible student gets an opportunity for employment while facing and acing each given opportunity.

Eligibility Criteria

Students will be eligible to participate in the placement process on the following grounds :

Attendance 85% & above.

No pending tuition fee dues.

Students will not be eligible to participate in the placement process on the following grounds :

Students who have opted out of the placement process need to submit an undertaking stating their decision of not participating in placement process along with a valid justification for the same

Procedure

Send an Invitation and Institute brochure to the companies.

Get consent from the companies/organization to participate in the process along with the list of expected profiles.

Details announced to the students via the Notice Board.

Suitable dates for the Pre-Placement Talk (PPT from here on) decided after deliberations between the Company and Placement Cell.

Students notified of the PPT date post confirmation from the Company.

Company visits the campus and conducts their PPT.

The company may also, if interested, conduct selections for Summer Internships of the First-Year students on the same day.

Standard format should be maintained for all the companies for declaration of the names of selected students.

Pre-Placement Activities

Following are the Pre-Placement activities that need to be done by the Student Coordinators under the guidance of the TPO :

A Corporate presentation.

An invitation letter to be sent to the Company / Organizations.

Preparation of a Placement write-up / Brochure.

A list of Companies / Organizations with Address, Contact Details, concerned HR person etc. to be maintained.

Record of calls made to the Companies / Organizations should be maintained on a daily basis.

Planning Activities

Placements can be done on a rolling/weekly/fortnightly basis depending upon the no. of companies registered for campus recruitment.

A standard Resume format is given to the students to prepare their own Resume

The company is ranked based on the following parameters:

Job profile and growth prospects

The package being offered by the company

Past record of recruitment

Feedback from the students regarding the company

The placement cell needs to follow-up with the companies regarding the finalization of the dates.

The Placement Cell allots a date to the company as per the ranking by the students

The company can confirm or negotiate the dates with the placement cell.

Resumes of the interested students (if required) are made available to the companies for the purpose of short listing.

The list of short-listed students is mailed to the Placement Cell prior to the campus selection date.

During the Placement

The company is required to promptly furnish the final list of selected candidates upon completion of the procedure

Companies visit the campus on the given date and conduct the written Technical/Aptitude test, Group Discussion/Personal Interview as part of their selection procedure

The selected students may or may not be allowed to appear for further job interviews as per the Placement Policy of the Institute

The student coordinators should make necessary arrangements for the company representatives visiting the campus for the Drive

Post-placement Activities

The Placement Coordinator must follow up with concerned person in the respective company to get the Appointment Letter of the selected candidates at the earliest along with their joining date

The Placement Coordinator must take feedback about the performance of the students at the Institute and any suggestion for improvement

The Placement Coordinator must intermittently take the feedback about the performance of the students who have joined their organization

General Conditions

The role of the Placement Cell is of a facilitator and counsellor for placement related activities.

Once the student accepts an offer given by a company, he/she will be out of contention for subsequent placement drives.

In case a student appears for two or more companies on a particular day then he/she will be considered selected in the company which first comes out with the final selection list and he/she will be out of contention for subsequent placement drives.

In case of parallel recruitment procedures of two or more companies, if an unavoidable case of clash of procedures arise then a student may be asked to choose between the companies and hence can only continue in the procedure with the selected company. No change in decision in this regard will be accepted in any case after advancement in the selection procedure from that point.

Any issues to be discussed should be forwarded to the respective Placement Coordinator and it is her/his responsibility to take it up with the Placement Cell.

If the market situation and job scenario necessitate a revision in the Placement Policy, it will be done in a manner to maximize benefit to the student community.

All placements related communication will be done through notices that are displayed on the Placement Notice Board.

Each student shall be eligible for only one offer.

Debarment from Placement Activity

The Student will be debarred from appearing in any further placement drives if any of the below mentioned is true :

Misbehaviour / Indiscipline on the part of the student during the interview process.

Student registers but is not present for a company’s interview on the given date.

Rejection by student of an offer made by the Company.

Pending Pre-Placement Interview Offer

A student in case of pending Pre-Placement Interview Offer is eligible to participate in the placement process.

Pre-Placement Offer

Students with a Pre-Placement Offer from a company must inform the Placement Cell about its acceptance or rejection before the placement process begins. In case any student does not inform the placement Cell about the same, he / she will be considered to have accepted the offer and will be debarred from further placement activity.

In case if the student accepts the Pre-Placement Offer, he will be excluded from further placement activity

Code of Conduct

Students must be punctual in reporting to the company for the recruitment process.

Students should not discuss any points (Package, Job profile, Location etc) at the time of interview. Any such queries should be discussed with the Placement Coordinator.

It is expected that students prepare a file, in hard copy, of all their academic records while appearing for the campus recruitment process.

Candidates must carry 4 copies of their Resume (as per the given format) and 2 passport size photographs for the GD/Interview rounds of a company.

Any student found misbehaving in any manner with staff of the Training and Placement Cell and Student Coordinators will be debarred from the placement process.

Students must keep their Identity Card with them at the time of PPT/Test/Group Discussion/ Interviews and produce the same when asked to do so by the visiting team or their Coordinators.

Students are not allowed to use mobile phones in the vicinity of a company official and are forbidden to carry the question paper out of the examination hall after the written exam.

Students are expected to maintain decorum in all interactions with company officials such as PPT, written exam and so on.

Students should reach for PPT/Test/Group Discussion/Interviews on time. Also, Students will not be allowed to leave the Hall before the PPT is finished.

Any student found violating this will be liable to disciplinary action.

It is compulsory for every interested candidate to attend the Pre-Placement Talk of a company for which he / she has applied in formal attire. In case of non-compliance, he / she will not be allowed to appear placement process of that company.

No student will directly contact any company official for any purpose. This includes forwarding of resumes for consideration, opportunities of Internships/Dissertations etc.

All communication should be routed through the Placement Cell.

Students are advised to watch the Notice Boards for any updates

Under no circumstances should a student negotiate with a company executive about CTC offered during the selection process. Any student violating this norm will be liable to strict disciplinary action.

It is mandatory for students to be appropriately dressed for the pre-placement talks and interviews as mentioned below :

For Boys :

Full sleeves formal shirt with formal plain trousers

College suit and tie (mandatory)

Neatly polished black shoes

For Girls :

College suit

Note: The policy is subject to change at a later stage at the discretion of the Placement Cell. The changes made, if any, at a later stage will be notified to all concern.

MBA

The Training & Placement Cell is one the busiest teams in the campus.

T&P is the bridge between the academics and the industries. We train our students to be industry ready and companies acquire the required talent they desire.

To conduct campus interviews, we have a comfortable and spacious infrastructure which helps in smooth functioning of the recruitment process.

Interview Cabins

Spacious and see through AC interview cabins which offer transparency in the interview procedure and ease in recruitment. Each cabin is equipped with a comfortable chair, glass top table, a computer, pleasant lights and also a telephone if required.

Computer Labs

The Central Placement Cell has its own computer lab equipped with 100 well-configured and networked machines. If required we can acquire the departmental labs and accommodate up to 700 students. All the labs have high-speed internet connection and have a 24 x 7 power backup.

Conference Room

Conference calls or meetings are an integral part of any corporate. Hence to have meetings or conference calls or any discussions, we have spacious and comfortable AC conference rooms to meet the need.

Auditorium

We have a huge and comfortable auditorium to accommodate 800 students at a time which makes it easy, time saving and cost effective if we have to conduct a pre-placement talk or training sessions. It is equipped with a sound and microphone system, LCD screen and projector. This makes addressing a huge chunk of students becomes hassle-free.

Group Discussion Room

As group discussion is an important part of the interview process these days, we also have provisions for conducting them with 2 spacious and separate group discussion rooms with white boards.
